halsey - colors mv review!

i was going thru my old blog posts to try and organize my tabs, and i realized that in my badlands album review from back in august, the title said "bandlands" and not "badlands". shoot me now.
i know, this blog post is two weeks later than it should be.  i'm trying not to do all of my blog posts at once and then not having anything to blog about in a couple weeks after everything dies down.  so, with that being said, lets get onto the review!

when halsey announced that colors was going to be a single, i was a little bit disappointed but also very excited. i was disappointed because colors was the most popular song and i kind of thought she was taking the easy way out.  but then again, this IS halsey we are talking about, and halsey is an amazing creator and never takes the easy way out.  i know she had a plan for colors and made it a single for a reason, and i was excited to see what she was going to do with it.
she had been teasing things about the video for a very long time.  i knew going into the video that tyler posey was going to be in it, they were attending a school called "badlands academy" (total halsey thing to do, but i was still obsessed with the idea) and i knew she was going to wear a blonde wig.  i thought her and tyler posey were going to be in a relationship just like everybody else did, but just like everyone else, i was wrong.  and i kinda kick myself for it because it again is halsey and she likes to mix everything up and throw in surprises nobody quite expected.  i am obsessed with the storyline that goes with the video.  the secret polaroids that she would take and hide, her dolling herself up, her little "prep girl student" little attitude, but my favorite part has to be the part where she mouths the "you were red, and you liked me 'cause i was blue.  you touched me and suddenly i was a lilac sky. and you decided purple just wasn't for you" part.  it truly fit in perfect with the video and the meaning behind it.  i don't ever think i'll be sick of halsey.  everything she does is an art and it is never the same.

review / fuller house

i know, fuller house came out on netflix a week ago and i'm reviewing it now.  like i mentioned in my last post, i am pre-writing posts so i don't fall behind in school, so, i'm writing this the day after fuller house was released on netflix.  just to make things clear(er).

i wouldn't say i grew up on full house, but i grew up on full house.  my brother and i used to watch it on nick@nite every saturday morning and on abc family everyday over the summer.  we loved full house and still do to this day.  when i found out this show was coming out, i was so excited.  besides getting new full houses with the continuation of dj, stephanie, and kimmy, i was ecstatic to find out that it was going to be on netflix!  i can (have been) binge-watch the whole first season!
the first episode made me cry.  even thinking about the first episode to write about it is making me tear up!! it was crazy to see everyone (except for michelle... olsen twins.....) all grown up and leaving the full house.  not only that, but the theme song in the beginning gave me major nostalgia and feels.  and at the end of the first episode, when everyone was leaving and dj was crying with tommy, and stephanie and kimmy said they'd move in to help, major crying moment!! i love dj's boys and kimmy's daughter.  jackson, dj's oldest, is a ton like dj was in the older episodes.  max, her middle child, has the spunk and attitude that stephanie had, and tommy's just a little baby, just like michelle was when the show first started.  kimmy's daughter, ramona, has her own little personality with a mix of gibbler.   i am obsessed with the slight shades that they throw at mary-kate and ashley olsen.  i think it is hilarious! way to teach them what they're missing out on! i'll admit, i was really scared that this show would be a flop.  everyone would build up this massive thing about how great the show was going to be, and then it would be nothing like the originals.  totally impressed with the show! it is a ton like the older ones, with a bit of a "2010's" vibe to it, which is totally what today's kids need.  i am currently on episode 6, but as soon as i am done watching this, i'm going to go binge it some more!!

review / tlc's rattled!

(keep in mind that i am pre-writing blog posts today so i can get blog posts up without falling behind in my schooling.)
hi everyone!  as most of you know, i am obsessed with reality tv.  when tlc first announced this show, i didn't think much of it.  i have also been off and on following the gardner quads (on my mom's facebook... lol.) for the past 6 months.  when i found out that the gardner's were on the show, i started watching.  i just finished the 2nd episode an hour ago, and the 3rd isn't out yet! when this is posted, the show will probably be 5 episodes in, so i'd just thought i'd mention where i'm at right now.  lets get into the review!

THE SHOW / WHAT IT IS ABOUT.
this show follows four couples.  mars and doug from ohio, destiny and sal from new jersey, jason and kristina from new york, and tyson and ashley from utah, who are all first time parents.  it follows all of the trials, struggles, and joy of being a first time parent.

MARS AND DOUG
mars and doug met on oh cupid, a dating site, and are now together.  mars is 27 and doug is 40.  they say despite the age difference, they have a lot in common and really love each other.  this is mars's first baby while this is doug's forth.  their baby was an accident, and they weren't together very long when mars conceived. they just moved in together and are starting to get ready for baby when mars goes into labor.  they give birth to a beautiful baby girl named sophia.

DESTINY AND SAL
destiny is from vegas, and is not your traditional girl. she is a model, a vegetarian, and soon-to-be mother.  sal on the other hand, grew up in a very traditional home. most of the men in sal's family are named sal, and if not sal something else, which i totally forgot, which is something sal wants to do with his family, while destiny is opposed to the idea. sal is also a soccer player and is not a vegetarian.  they are soon to give birth to a little girl named capri.

JASON AND KRISTINA
jason and kristina have been married for a year and a half, and decided to try to have a baby.  they own a business in downtown manhattan, and both are very invested in their business.  they have scheduled feedings and nap times set for their baby, and have tablets all over the house to remind them when it's time to feed their baby or put them down for a nap.  they say they do it so their baby can be on a schedule and sleep well thru the night.  they have a baby boy that they named lincoln.

ASHLEY AND TYSON
ashley and tyson are having quadruplets, which are all girls, and they are also 2 sets of identical twins.  they were conceived thru years of saving and going thru infertility. since ashley's pregnancy is so high risk, she is on strict hospital bed rest.  her doctor's goal is for her to go till 28 weeks, while her own personal goal is 30.  they meet in the middle at 29 weeks, when ashley's water broke.  they give birth to four premature baby girls - indie, esme, scarlett, and evangeline (evie).

REVIEW
i have really enjoyed the show so far.  it really shows how difficult it is to be a parent for the first time, and to see each couple's family grow and expand.  i can't wait for future episodes, and to see if they can still juggle parenthood and everything else life throws at them!

review! - sally hansen miracle gel nail polish

hi everybody!! i didn't post last week because i decided to redo the blog instead, and i'm very impressed with how it looks now!  please comment below and check out our social media's! (on the sidebar ------------->)  let's get started!
i recently have been eyeing these nail polishes, because i've wanted to do gel nails for a while now. i finally caved and bought a color and a top coat!  (i got the color "b girl" if you were curious, and i'm obsessed)  these are what they look like if you were curious

it comes with a nail polish color and a top coat. it is very easy to apply, base coat of nail polish, then a second coat, and then the top coat.  after you put on the top coat, the nail polish has a shiny, matte finish on your nails and looks amazing.  it is a very strong nail polish and stays that way on your nails.  i have had it on since tuesday and it is starting to crack and peel away, so it didn't last as much as i would have liked it too, but i am still very impressed with how it makes beautiful, gel nails without a heat lamp!  i would recommend this to anyone who has been thinking about doing gel nails.

about candi! (about the author)

totally forgot to post last week, my apologies!!
i was writing down blog ideas for the month last night, and i had in mind the new readers i have had on here, as well as my mass amounts of new twitter (@halseyxlilac) and instagram (@iamtovelo) and thought i would do a little get to know me post.  i am already planning a ootw for next week's post (probably won't go up till next saturday :() so keep on the lookout for that next week! enough of all this, lets get into the post!
my real name is savannah.  candi is a fake online name i made up when i was younger because i didn't feel comfortable giving my name out.
i am a sagittarius and my birthday is december 17 (year isn't important...)
for me, music is the center of everything.  i always tend to have music playing.
my favorite artists to listen to are halsey, panic! at the disco, tove lo, melanie martinez, avril lavigne, adele, and a little bit of stuff i listened too when i was younger.  (britt nicole, cher lloyd, kelly clarkson, ellie goulding) i will listen to everything except country because i hate country.
my first blog was a britt nicole fan page that is still up if you feel like reading my embarrassing blog posts from 2 years ago (click here to read...) (btw, i shared that blogger account with one of my really good friends, she had her blog, and i had mine, but we shared the account)
i also love to clean and organize (i know, that's super weird, but i love having my life cleaned and organized!)
going on with things i love, i love to read, write, dance, color (i can't draw to save my life), go on long car rides, travel, social media, shopping, my phone, my friends and family, my bed, netflix (law and order svu is what i'm obsessing over currently), taking/having pictures, baths, hot tubs, california, disneyland, concerts, the beach, naps, hair and makeup, target,  and several other things i can't think of right now.
i am sick and have been undergoing blood testing for a year and a half now with no sure answer of what is wrong.  due to that, i do miss a lot of school and sleep a ton.  i tend to go for a nap over several other things lately.
i have the mouth of a sailor (thanks mom) and it will come out a ton
i also have really bad anxiety.  i have friends i haven't talked too for months because i'm afraid they won't like me anymore/think i'm really weird and i hate it more than the world.
i hate starting conversations due to it, i only really start conversations with my best friend.
i also have a tumblr that i don't post on very often, but i am always on (click here for my tumblr)
i am a "retired dancer" and i haven't danced for 4 years but i still stretch and do dance exercises everyday to keep my flexibility.
and there is so many more things you will find out about me while following this page and my instagram, tumblr, and twitter pages.
feel free to comment with any questions or to tell a little bit more about yourself! i will read and reply to them all (unless they are wayy too personal).
again, i will have an ootw and hopefully i will have the blog redone by next saturday!
until then,
candi / savannah
